Controller Block 5,6,7

On we go to the buttons and stuff to randomly push.

Spindle Select, Two white buttons: These two select whether you want to use the main spindle or C axis to control it.

3 Position Rotary Switch, Spindle Direction: This one clockwise from left to right. Spindle Anti clockwise, Spindle Clockwise, Spindle Auto, when set to auto the spindle will start in manual mode in the direction selected in the Program (M03/M04) When set to manual the spindle will turn in the direction selected (Clockwise/Anti Clockwise)

Red and White Buttons, Spindle Enabled / Spindle Off: This pair control weather the spindle is permitted to run or not, when RED is set the program will run without the spindle turning.

Bottom Rotary Switch, Spindle Over Ride: This allows you to reduce or increase the spindle rotation speed when a program is running if you wish to tweak your spindle speeds.

On to the next block of random shite.

Random Information / Warnings Notification: These vary between machines, for example, the green lamp second from the right on the bottom row tells you the chuck is clamped and it ready to go, The Red ? means “unspecified problem / alarm condition. As mentioned though, there can be more or less of these depending on model of machine and are not always labeled the same way.

On we go, getting bored yet? most of this is universal to pretty much all Fanuc based machines such as Doosan, Daewoo, DNG Mori, HAAS and many others.

Hydraulics On/Off: Yep, it’s that simple, on most Daewoos you can power up the machine but still leave the hydraulics powered down, (quite why I have no idea) but here we are. These two are pretty simple though. On / Off Hydraulics.

Time for another page and some more of those wonderful flippy switches.
